Do you need new technical and creative talent in your venue?

We want to hear your thoughts on how to deliver the next generation of apprenticeships to ensure that there is enough talent to keep the sector alive and thriving.

We are being increasingly asked if we can provide a wider range of backstage apprenticeships to meet the skills shortage that has emerged as a result of the pandemic.

We’ve arranged an on-line consultation session with representatives from The National Theatre.

Purpose: How to best recruit, employ, manage, and support the training of backstage apprentices: what works best for you as a theatre / venue?

As part of this consultation process we’re also asking theatre and live events venues to take part in a 4 minute survey to establish if there is sufficient potential demand to:

• Invest in the development of curricula and training plans for apprenticeship standards we don’t currently deliver.

• Invest in recruiting and training more people to deliver these apprenticeships.

• Encourage End Point Assessment Organisation to include these apprenticeship standards for the ones that don’t yet have an identified EPAO.
