Date and time
Location
Online event
Join us for BACLS's first virtual conference to discuss the theme of crisis in contemporary writing.
About this event
Our choice of theme - crisis in contemporary writing - was prompted by the Covid-19 public health crisis.
The conference will open with a roundtable discussion of the contemporary. It will then feature live online discussions of pre-circulated papers, available via BACLS website, on contamination and contagion, economic, cultural, and social crises, as well as relationships to technology and between the human and the non-human. The conference will close with a Q&A with contemporary writers.
A more detailed schedule for the day is available at: https://www.bacls.org/conferences/bacls-virtual-conference-june-2020/schedule-draft/
The conference is open to members and non-members of BACLS.
The free eventbrite ticket gives you access to the live discussions on 26th June. We will send you a Zoom link to follow and instructions closer to the time. Please note that the link will be circulated only to registered attendees and that you should not share this link with anybody else.
Registration for the conference is open until 22nd June. For any questions, please get in touch with the conference organisers at bacls.whn@gmail.com.
