Join Friends of Badock's Wood to look and listen for bats on Friday 26th September at 6.30 p.m..
We will meet at 6.30 p.m. outside the Greenway Centre Reception and then we will walk across the field and into Badock's Wood.
The bat survey will be from 6.30 - 8.00 p.m. as sunset is at 7.00 p.m.
We will be led by ecologists with knowledge of bats.
Our most frequently found bats in Badock's Wood are Common Pipistrelle, Soprano Pipistrelle and Nauthusius Pipistrelle but we have found up to 7 different species in the wood in recent years.
We will have bat detectors but if you have your own bat detector please bring it.
Please bring warm clothes and good footwear as we will be walking off the paths and standing around after the sun goes down. It will become dark so you may wish to bring a torch to use later.
All welcome. Children must be accompaned by an adult and supervised.
Free event, though we do accept cash donations :)
