Do you want to work on world-leading technology?  As a maritime apprentice at BAE Systems Maritime and Land Defence Solutions you’ll help to serve and protect the people who serve and protect the UK, by supporting the manufacture and development of maritime defence technology.

What will happen during the Open Evening?

Speak with BAE Systems apprentices, skills coaches, business professionals, and engineers. Learn about the work they do and how you could join the team.

Can anyone attend?

Our Portsmouth Naval Base site is a working defence establishment, so you’ll need to register in advance to attend.

Places are limited to two places per booking and offered on a first come, first served basis. If you are under 18, you’ll need to attend with one accompanying adult.

What do I need to bring to gain entry?

Accepted Answer

You should bring your eventbrite booking number, as confirmation you have registered in advance of the event. A valid UK passport will be required to gain entry and access is subject to pre-event security clearance.

Where can I park?

Please park in the main Portsmouth Historic Dockyard visitor car park, which is a 5 minute walk to Victory Gate. Postcode is PO1 3GW (Admiralty Road). Disabled parking spaces are also available within the car park. Unfortunately, parking cannot be prebooked.

What will happen when I arrive?

Arrive at 6.30pm. After 6.45pm, we may not be provide entry.   Please avoid arriving before 6.30pm, as you will not be able to gain site access before 6.30pm. Dress appropriately for weather conditions, as there may be a short wait outdoors without shelter.

Can I bring bags and cameras?

We would discourage you from bringing any bags. Any bags you choose to bring may be subject to bag checks by BAE Systems Security staff.
It is not permissible for cameras or video recording equipment to be used once inside the site.

What should I do if I can't attend?

If you are unable to attend this event, please contact maritimeeducation@baesystems.com as soon as possible, so we can offer your place(s) to someone else on the waiting list.
