Bag Making Session - The Demelza Handbag

This session is designed for sewists who have some experience with bag making. It's not suitable for first time sewists. The aim is to have a fun and social day with like minded bag makers! You'll need to have your pattern pieces cut and interfaced, ready to sew on the day.

We're making the Demelza handbag, an intermediate sewing pattern. If you'd prefer to make a different Country Cow Designs bag, this is fine, but please bear in mind that I'll be providing assistance for the Demelza ahndbag, so won't be able to provide as much assistance if you're working on a different pattern to the main group.

What's included in your ticket price:

• The digital sewing pattern (sent two weeks prior)
• Assistance and guidance from me throughout the day, as required
• A fun, social day of sewing with like minded bag makers
• Space for your sewing machine
• Basic tools and an ironing space
• Hot drinks and snacks
• Lunch from the local deli
• Time to browse the bag making supplies in our shop

Things to note:

• Accommodation is not included
• Sewing machines are not included. You need to bring your own sewing machine.
• It's recommended that you bring your own scissors etc so you don't have to wait for the shared ones.
• Materials are not included. You need to bring your own materials for the sewing project and need to have your fabric pattern pieces cut and interfaced BEFORE the day. • Some bag making experience is required if you want to really enjoy this class. There are twelve attendees to one instructor. Everyone will have access to the pattern and the video tutorial, and I will be offering additional guidance and support as required.
• This is a large bag. Everyone will be working at their own speed. Some may finish the bag before the day is over, but for others you may not finish your bag during the day. You'll continue to have access to the pattern and video tutorial after the workshop so you can finish your bag at home in your own time.
• Cancellations: if you cancel before 29th May 2026, you will receive a refund minus the EventBrite booking fee. If you can on or after 29th May 2026, no refund is available.
