Bagels, Bananas & Banglatown - A Multicultural East End Tour
Thu 1 June 2017, 12:00 – 14:00 BST
Over the centuries the East End has been home to layers of migrants seeking refuge. It is as famous for its curry houses & bagels as the hipsters who have taken over in recent years.
The tour starts at the bright ultra modern Liverpool Street station and weaves its way into the tiny dark historic East End lanes and alleyways which provide a potted East End history & a chance to notice traces of the past in the buildings, architecture & street names.
On this tour there are plenty of chances to stop, ask questions and try tasters of authentic food from sweets to bagels. The tour is led by Caroline, who is proud to be descended from a famous East End boxer.
