Two days of Occupational Health & Safety training. Day 1 taking place on Friday, 25th November 2016, and Day 2 is taking place on Friday, 9th December 2016 at the main hall of Frindsbury Baptist Church in Frindsbury.
Day 1 – Divided into multiple sessions, will provide a detailed outline look at the British Health and Safety legal framework, before working through the most significant sections of the Health and Safety at Work Act, a detailed look at the Euro 6-Pack, made up of the Management Regs, Workplace Regs, DSE Regs, LOLER, PUWER and the Manual Handling Regs, before looking at Safe Systems of Work, Corporate Manslaughter and the New Sentencing Guidelines, Lone Working for Mobile Workers, and the potential fiscal, operational, personnel and safety law impacts of Brexit.
Day 2 – Divided into 3 detailed sessions: Session 1 will provide a thorough look at the new CDM Regulations (CDM2015), the implications, problems and practicalities of operating with it, and solutions to come of the common issues it creates. Session 2 will look at the occupational ill health effects and main requirements of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, as well as the historical and medical significance of asbestos. Session 3 will examine the critical requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, examine the core elements necessary to create a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment and a look at application of practical fire safety measures.
The CPD seminars are great for those who are studying to obtain their IOSH or NEBOSH certificates, or preparing to take CITB or CSCS qualifications. Those in construction, design, management/project management, surveying trades and facilities management would also benefit, as would those who may have to take on the role of a supervisor, responsible person or 'principal designer'. Experienced practitioners who want more input on various elements of general, construction, asbestos and fire safety may also find this of interest, as well as those attempting to move from one field of safety to another.
Additionally, lunch is thrown in with the cost of the CPD ticket (a mere £25 per day, £45 for the two days combined - modest booking fee may apply), and there are SAFETY TRAINING GOODIES in store for those who get their tickets early!
