Event description

Description

Balanceability is the UK’s first and only accredited ‘learn to cycle’ activity programme for children from the age of 2½ years specifically to help develop confidence, spatial awareness and dynamic balance. The course is delivered by Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Nursery Staff and Sports Coaches. The course can be delivered in PE sessions, after school clubs, small groups or as interventions.

Balanceability Instructor Training is an ‘accredited’ one day course with venues across the country. This training is suitable for Cycle Instructors, Teachers, TA’s or Children's Activity Managers to run the Balanceability course within Schools, Nurseries and Leisure facilities.

The Instructor training day will help Teachers and Sports Coaches to plan, prepare and run the Balanceability programme with confidence.

Course Objectives:

  • To develop skills on teaching children to cycle

  • Explore practical activities that improve physical literacy using balance activities and balance bikes.

  • Understand the importance of young children’s balance/learning to cycle

  • Develop and structure session plans/progressive coaching sessions

  • Identify and adapt activities and sessions for different age groups and abilities

  • Further develop skills to assess and track the skills of children

The Balanceability Training day runs from 9am to 5pm and costs £295 per person, however, this is reduced to £120 per person when you purchase Pack 1 or 2.
