Baligha Club is holding a national convention for girls in school years 3 to 6!

About this event

Come and join our first ever Baligha Club National Convention! Organised by the Ladies Tableegh Committee of Husaini Islamic Centre, this is a sisters only event, with lots of exciting activities planned including:

  • a Baligha Club taster session with seminar, discussion and craft demonstration by the Tasbih Project
  • creative workshops on different arts and crafts, linked to the Baligha Convention theme
  • nasheed recitations and spoken word poetry by special guests including Radiance Poetry
  • art and poetry competitions and a free raffle with amazing prizes!

The event is open to all girls who are currently in years 3, 4, 5 or 6 at school. Each Baligha girl can attend with one guest which should be their mum or a female guardian (aged 18 years or over), and there's no problem if one mum / guardian accompanies more than one Baligha girl.

Tickets are available at the subsidised cost of just £6 per attendee, which includes refreshments and a 'desi' style afternoon tea, craft materials for all workshops and a free raffle.

Registration deadline: 17th July 2022.

The dress code for the day is Hijabi Flowers, so dress in your favourite florals or incorporate some flower colours into your outfit! There will be a selfie booth for you to take pics on the day.

Our convention theme is the five Ahlul Kisa (Panjatan) and we're have two competitions for the Baligha girls to take part in:

1. A piece of art you'll need to bring on the day to be judged, on the theme of the Ahlul Kisa.

2. A poem you'll need to email to by Sunday 17th July 2022, inspired by the Ahlul Kisa.

We'll announce the winners of both competitions and present the prizes at the closing ceremony, where special guests will recite nasheeds and poetry for us in honour of the Ahlulbayt (as).

Please note: when you register, you'll be asked to select two options from a list of workshops you'll like to attend. We have limited places on each workshop, so it's first come, first served. We'll have separate activities for the mums / guardians.

We look forward to seeing you there! For any further information, or to donate a raffle prize or make any other donation, please email us at
