About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

Join us to remove and record litter from the beach at Balmedie Country Park as part of the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean. Help us to remove harmful litter and collect vital data that we can use to bring about positive change for our seas. And as Climate Week North East starts today you can help to “take action: small steps for big impacts”.

All equipment will be provided but if you have your own gloves, litter pickers or bag hoops then please bring them. We will be surveying a 100m stretch of beach - removing and recording ALL the litter. If folk want to continue cleaning more beach after this is completed then they are welcome to do that too!

Dogs under proper control welcome.

Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please ensure all attending adults book a ticket.

Not suitable for most pushchairs (soft sandy beach) but if you or someone you know would benefit from an all-terrain wheelchair for this event, get in touch with Balmedie Beach Wheelchairs.
