Eileen Wada Willett
Eileen, Japanese-Canadian founder of East Asian Girl Gang, trained in fashion in Paris and San Francisco before working at Billboard Tokyo and Nicole Farhi London. She co-founded multi-award-winning Cucumber Clothing in 2017. During the pandemic, she formed East Asian Girl Gang as a supportive sisterhood increasing community visibility. Shortlisted for 2020 Asian Woman of Achievement Awards, she is an REM #ChangeMaker, a regular speaker on ESEA topics and serves as trustee/director for multiple charities.
This webinar is about employment in the East Asian gaze. Eileen will be exploring internal and external barriers such as culture and employer's perceptions. It is open to all genders and migrants from a forced migrant background.
