** JACK CONMAN **
Jack Conman Music is a poetic, haunting, heartfelt singer-songwriter with an unusual guitar technique, exploring the different, unique and percussive sounds of the instrument. Unmissable.
** MANALISHI **
The brand new Psychedelic/Alternative Salford four-piece MANALISHI are already making serious waves in the local music scene. The band’s debut single ‘The Mornings Dew’ was released in January 2017, with upcoming gigs line up at The Castle Hotel, Odd Bar, Whiskey Jar and Zombie Shack in April alone. Manalishi cites Led Zeppelin, Tame Impala, Fleetwood Mac, Bowie and White Stripes among their influences; expect to be blown away by their own brand of classic psychedelic rock with a modern twist.
** BISHOP **
A faceless identity mixing contemporary Soul with a strong Pop influence, BISHOP is a songwriter with 10 years’ experience of writing catchy radio friendly anthems. Infecting real life situations into emotional vocal performances, Bishop captivate audiences of all walks of life into appreciating the songwriting and vocal talents behind the hidden identity.
** THE AVOCETS **
Indie R&B outfit The Avocets were formed whilst studying music in Manchester. Their unique sound balances hip hop production, indie style guitars and soulful duel lead vocals.
** RONALD RAYGUN **
Fresh off a sold out headline gig at Night & Day and headlining Odd’s first ever Bang The Drum, Ronald Raygun are back bringing their scuzzy sound to our big bank holiday all-dayer. Described as somewhere in between the poles of jazz, disco, psych, funk and electro, this is an aural experience not to be missed.
** BABY TOOTH **
Baby Tooth create a kaleidoscope of different sounds, combining the scream of The Smashing Pumpkins, the funk of The Chilli Peppers and the raw grit of 90’s grunge with hints of early Modest Mouse. The band was formed in late 2013, producing hard hitting tracks and reviving genres those thought previously long forgotten. Baby Tooth pack into a high energy set “conscious anarchy, perfect discordance, thinly-veiled aggression, and a bit of reggae thrown in for good measure.”
** …AND THE HANGNAILS **
Our headliner ...And The Hangnails is a punk duo from York, who describe their music as “Punk / Noise Rock / Loud-as-f&*k-guitar-pop”. Their album releases include "No Time For Naysayers" - "BARE" - "Rut." and "DOG."
"Rarely is a UK Punk band as exhilaratingly competent as York's ...And The Hangnails."
BBC RADIO 1:
"...a wall of noise from one of the most respected bands from around York and North Yorkshire, this DIY punk duo rattle through songs at a rate of knots. There's no time to catch your breath really. With this raw power and anthemic choruses, no wonder everyone's buzzing about them at the minute." (Jericho Keys on the Huw Stevens Show).
Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent:
"It’s rare to find an emerging band as colourful and powerful as this”
"Consistently brilliant adrenaline shots of 'loud-as-fuck-guitar-pop."
