This unique festival, returning to London for the fourth times, showcases the splendour of Bangla Music and its spectacular latitude through mind blowing performances by the leading musicians of the country. Keats House is hosting the inauguration of the festival that offers the synergy of the lyrics of great Bengali romantic poets (Tagore, Roy, Atul, Nazrul and Rajanikanta) and the verses of great English poet John Keats which interpret the mutual mood and complement each other due to have the close affinity of emotions.
Bangla Music Festival features the evolution of Bangla music from 730 AC, through Charjya-Pod, folk, Kirton, Toppa, Poncho-Kobi to Bangla Adhunik (Salil, Manna, Sochin and all other doyens and legendary composers of Bangla music). The leading singers around the UK from West-Bengal and Bangladeshi origin will exude the treasure and the glorious journey of Bangla music.
