Event description

Description

Insolvency continues to be a pervasive issue in different sectors of the global economy. The strategic roles that banks play in the growth of economies, accentuated by the recent regulatory package to finalise and reform Basel III (Basel IV), makes a discussion of insolvencies in the banking sector crucial. To further this discourse, the University of Reading and the Lancaster University will be hosting a conference to examine Bank Insolvencies in Developing Economies, with particular emphasis on the EMEA region. The conference is open to academics, legal and insolvency practitioners, policymakers, and members of the international banking community.

This free one day conference will take place on Friday 5 April 2019 at the University of Reading. The conference is proudly supported by Stephenson Harwood LLP.

We look forward to hosting you.
