Graeme Chaplin – Regional Agent – Bank of England
Graeme was appointed as the Bank of England’s Agent for the West Midlands in November 2008. He has worked for the Bank for 30 years in a wide variety of roles in London, Manchester and now Birmingham.
He joined the Bank in 1992 and has undertaken a variety of roles in Threadneedle Street, including banking supervision, economic analysis and financial stability monitoring.
In his role as the Bank’s Agent, he acts as the eyes and ears of the Bank of England in the region – meeting with a broad cross-section of businesses to build up a picture of the UK economy.
