Event description

Description

Join Andrew Holder, agent for the Bank of England, to discuss recent developments in the UK economy and the Monetary Policy Committee’s forecasts for economic growth and inflation. He’ll explain what that is expected to mean for interest rates, and answer questions on that or other economic topics.

Three main reasons to attend:

  • Find out what’s been happening to the UK economy
  • Find out what’s expected to happen to growth and inflation over the next few years
  • Hear how the Monetary Policy Committee’s views on interest rates are evolving.

Who should attend:

Anyone running a business that is affected by the performance of the UK economy, or by what happens to interest rates and inflation.

Andrew Holder is the Bank of England’s Agent for Central Southern England. The Agencies are the Bank's “eyes, ears and voice” in the regions, collecting information about trends and developments across the country, and explaining the Bank’s views and policy decisions to local businesses and other groups.

This event is free of charge.
