What do I need to gain entry to the building?

Accepted Answer

Each person will need to bring a valid form of photographic ID, e.g Passport or Drivers Licence. This will need to match the name on your booking. Security checks will be in place on arrival; be ready to have you and your personal items scanned. Entry will be subject to security approval.

Question 2

What are the rules once I'm inside the building?

Accepted Answer

The Bank of England is still a core aspect of our country's infrastructure. For this reason, visitor access to other parts of the building will be restricted whilst we continue to carry out important work in supporting our economy. Photography and videography is  prohibited throughout the tour.

Question 3

I'd like to bring a group of friends or family, how do I do this?

Accepted Answer

The booking system is set up so that each person must book their own ticket. This is because we must know in advance our prospective attendees for our security purposes. For larger parties, please book multiple tickets, ensuring the names for each attendee are spread across each booking.

Question 4

Can I walk in on the day?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, all our visitors must book in advance. We will not be accepting walk-ins or last minute requests for entry.
