Bankside Riverside Stroll

Join the Thames Discovery Programme for a morning Riverside Stroll for adults at Bankside and learn more about the unique archaeology and history of the River Thames.
Learn more about the history and archaeology of London's suburban South Bank at one of London’s iconic beaches.
This walk is along the Thames Path with level access, we will not be going onto the foreshire. The walk will last about 45 minutes at a gentle pace, we will finish in a local venue with a chance to examine finds from our foreshore handling collection over a cup of tea or coffee.
Meet at the coffee shop at the south exit to Blackfriars Station (Bankside exit, heading towards Tate Modern) at 11am.
This event is supported by our project to work with Londoners, funded by City Bridge Trust, and so we are able to offer free places for anyone aged over 75.
Places are limited so booking is essential. All tickets include one free drink.
