Join this Bao Bun workshop in the heart of Edinburgh city centre and learn the art of making delicious bao buns in this hands-on activity. Located just steps from the University of Edinburgh's Futures Institute and near The Meadows, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from Chef May Ling, who brings over 14 years of experience running an Asian restaurant.
Throughout this engaging workshop, you will learn every step of the process – from preparing and shaping the dough to correctly wrapping and steaming the buns. You'll gain practical skills under expert guidance. At the end of the session, you'll not only have learned a new culinary skill but also receive a detailed recipe allowing you to recreate the bao buns yourself, and a portion of Bao bun freshly made by our head chef!
You'll leave this enriching workshop with newfound knowledge, tasty takeaways, and the confidence to make authentic bao buns in your own kitchen.
Vegan and halal options are available, ensuring the workshop is inclusive.
Chef May Ling is fluent in English, Malay, Cantonese, and Mandarin, enabling her to share valuable insights into Asian food culture alongside the baking techniques.
