BARCO Dance collection is a project curated and performed by Dinis Machado. This is a collection of dances developed by choreographers invited by Dinis. Dinis’ brief for the choreographers was to consider that the space where the dances happen is not the room performed in but the space of the body itself.
Over the duration of his residency at Metal Dinis has invited 3 choreographers, including Vicky Malin, to work with him to add to the collection of ten dances. During Vicky’s time here at Metal with Dinis she will be holding a workshop around the solo dance she is choreographing for Dinis.
Come and join Vicky on 20th October to explore a set of questions she has been asking herself and artist Dinis Machado. No answer is THE answer and your response could be moving, writing, talking, singing or something entirely different. Come and enjoy together, and help inform Dinis’ and Vicky’s creative process.
After the workshop with Vicky, Dinis will be holding a sharing of the BARCO Dance collection, followed by food and a discussion of the work.
