Barefoot Dance for Personal Growth: Bursting with Gratitude | Exeter

Begin your Saturday morning with a truly special experience. Join our intimate circle in Exeter as we lovingly conclude the Celtic year and gracefully welcome the embrace of Autumn. Through barefoot dance, guided by the live, soulful melodies of a harpist from our very own community, we'll burst with heartfelt gratitude.

This is more than just a dance. It's a tender reflection, a joyful release, and a deep, communal 'thank you' to all that this Celtic year has gifted us: our relationships, our growth, our joys, and even our challenges. Let’s embody our appreciation together.

What to Expect from This Special Event:

Step into a space designed for connection, comfort, and deep personal exploration. This session, enhanced by the live, enchanting music of a harpist from our dance community, will allow us to:

  • Reflect & release: Gently acknowledge and release what has served its purpose in the past year, making space for new beginnings.
  • Embody gratitude: Tune into the wisdom of your body to truly feel and express thanks for all the blessings and challenges: big and small, that have shaped your journey.
  • Connect & share: Experience the beautiful energy of a conscious community as we move together, on our own or with others, following guided exercises, to live music, creating a sense of belonging and intimacy.
  • Ease into autumn: Flow with the natural rhythms of the season, finding peace and groundedness as we transition.
  • Playful movement: There are no steps to learn, no experience needed – just an invitation to move authentically, guided by gentle prompts and the cozy, live accompaniment.

This will be a truly special and nurturing experience, providing a beautiful end to your Celtic year and a grounded start to your weekend.

About Dance Your Life (DYL)

Dance Your Life (DYL) is a gentle yet profound practice of embodied movement that invites you to listen to your body's wisdom. It offers a framework for self-discovery, emotional release, and playful expression, all at your own pace and without judgment. This session will offer a welcoming introduction to its principles, allowing you to move freely and authentically within the structure of the exercises and the guided principles of the dance.

Your Facilitator:

Maria Alda Gomez Otero (Alda) brings over 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist and over 3 years of experience as a conscious movement facilitator, with a passion for holistic wellbeing and embodied practices. I create a very safe space in which both depth and playfulness are possible, exploration is encouraged, and authenticity is a must, as we rediscover the childlike energy in us.
