Overview

Opportunity to meet and exchange heritage project ideas

Barnet Council has been awarded £70,000 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to support community-led and locally-based heritage projects. Grants of £5,000 - £10,000 are available for up to eight new heritage projects to be delivered in Barnet between February 2026 – February 2027. The grants aim to help local organisations uncover, explore and share the stories, places, people and traditions that shape Barnet, to reveal new perspectives on our borough and inspire fresh ways to connect with our shared heritage.

The fund is open to community and cultural organisations, charities, limited companies and CICs (not-for-profit projects only). Although individuals are not eligible to apply, we welcome applications from individuals working in partnership with organisations.

This event will provide a platform for anyone interested in applying for a Community Heritage Grant to share initial project ideas and to discuss as a group , with view to identifying synergies and possible partnerships.
