Description

The course

The adjunct to clinical assessment. Develop the skills to solidify your diagnosis and to start scanning immediately. A one day teaching course with 4 month assessment.

For the ECHO beginner.

The course consists of a teaching day and then an assessment morning at the next course date. i.e. if you sign up for the January course, there will be an assessment on the morning of the April course, you do not need to sign up separately for this. It involves an interactive lecture based morning followed by two hands on practical sessions in the afternoon. By the end of the day you will: be familiar with standard ECHO views; be able to perform a basic scan; and be able to distinguish abnormalities of the left ventricle, right ventricle, mitral valve, aortic valve, tricuspid valve, aorta, pericardial space, IVC, lung interstitium and pleural space.
