Young Shots Wildfowling Day - Poulton Court, Gloucestershire on the 18 October 2025.

Gloucester Wildfowling and Conservation Association (GWCA) and BASC Southwest are offering 6 Young Shots and their accompanying adults the chance to have a full day learning about wildfowling, followed with an evening flight with an experienced club member.

This event is for BASC Junior Members only and is aimed at those who have some experience of shooting their own gun.

The event will start with a tour of the conservation projects the club are involved followed by a practice session with clay targets. They will then have various presentation on what is required to take part in wildfowling. Including, equipment needed, quarry identification and the dangers and precautions to take while out on the marsh.

This will be a very relaxed event being both fun and informative.

The day will finish with an evening flight using sustainable ammunition so please have a nitro proof 12 or 20 gauge shotgun with 2 ¾ chambers choked less than half. Sustainable ammunition will be provided.

You will need to bring your 12- or 20-gauge shotgun, shotgun certificate and suitable footwear and outdoor clothing for the expected weather. Refreshments will be provided but you’d be very welcome to bring your own.
