About this Event

Committed to sustainability and social justice?

Worried about climate change?

Find out how a Universal Basic Income can help - join us for a day of presentations, discussion and creativity to explore how these ideas could be made real.

Basic Income Ireland’s Annual Forum takes place on Saturday 16 November at the Carmelite Centre in Aungier Street, Dublin, from 10am to 3.30pm on the theme of Basic Income, Social Justice and Sustainability.

We have an excellent line-up of speakers, including:

  • Professor Louise Haagh of University of York, Chair of the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN) and author of The Case for Universal Basic Income (Polity Press, 2019)
  • Shari McDaid, CEO of Mental Health Reform
  • Rory Hearne, Lecturer in Social Policy at Maynooth University and
  • Vincent Roddy of the Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association.

There will be space for discussion, debate and creativity, and the event will conclude with a performance by the critically acclaimed young poet Hazel Hogan.

All welcome, admission is free but please register to enable planning.
