Basic Life Support (30minutes)

This session is an interactive update guide to basic life support

Learning outcomes:

Upon completion of this session, you should be able to:

•Explain the importance of correct basic life support (BLS) in Adults, Children and Infants

•Describe the Resuscitation Council (UK) basic life support guidelines

•Perform basic life support more effectively in an emergency situation, utilizing CPR and the use of a Defibrillator.

•Understand the principles and be able to intervene and effectively manage a choking incidence


Anaphylaxis (30 minutes)

This interactive online Anaphylaxis Training is for Nurses & Allied Health professionals in General Practice.

Anaphylaxis is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction that is rapid in onset and may cause death if untreated.

It is essential that in General Practice, we have the skills to manage Anaphylaxis in a safe and effective manner and this session which is specific to adults, young people and children will cover; Risk Assessing, Recognition of Anaphylaxis, Emergency Management, Emergency Treatment.
