Basic Lino Cutting Workshop, all materials provided, Penicuik

The goal of this session will to produce one high quality print, with time for lots of experimenting along the way. We will be working on lino 15 x 20 cm, using handles with interchangable blades. Safety blades are available for anyone who feels unsure about working with sharp tools. We will not have industrial presses to hand, so some elbow grease and fingers crossed, we can make some interesting work!

Bring an image to work from, either physically or on a device. We will spend the majority of the session cutting the lino, with open conversation of technique. There will be three colours available to print from, with rollers shared amoungst the group.

Tea will be provided, please bring your own mug. Tetley teabags and semi skimmed cows milk will be available, bring an alternative if required. The group will take place in the Council Chambers room, first floor. There is a lift for anyone requiring assistance. Parking is available off the high stree, be warned that parking at the b&m carkpark has a strict max stay of 3 hours.
