Join Film Hub North for a free workshop providing exhibitors with an introduction to writing successful funding applications. The session takes place at Showroom Cinema on Friday, 14 June and is open to all Hub Members working in film exhibition.

Led by fundraising expert Helen Jenkins, we'll explore how to put together successful trust and grant applications that showcase your organisation's values and champion the value of your work. You'll find out about the common pitfalls of bid writing and how to overcome them by gathering the right evidence to support your case and learning from unsuccessful applications.

Attendees will leave the workshop with improved writing skills, as well as research resources and a framework to approaching applications with confidence. If you're coming along, we ask that you bring an idea of a project with you to work on - it doesn't need to be written up or even real, but it will be a useful starting point for the session's practical exercises where we'll put the skills we've learned to the test.

Confirmed speakers

Helen Jenkins has worked in fundraising for over 20 years, spending the last decade specialising in the arts and working across all funding disciplines. Now a consultant at 117 Consulting, Helen continues to take a hands on approach to fundraising as well as providing strategic support.
