Event description
In this introductory course you can immerse yourself into the world of fluorescence microscopy.

About this Event

The morning session will be comprised of lectures on the principles of fluorescence, the fluorescence microscope light path and components including filters and light sources. We will also discuss the principles of confocal microscopy, typical fluorochromes used for sample labeling, and example applications.

In the afternoon we invite registered participants to live demonstrations and hands-on sessions for wide field microscopy and confocal microscopy with select applications.

The course day starts with a lecture at 9:00h which has unlimited (approx.50) seating. The number of participants in the hands-on session in the afternoon (starting at 13:00h) is however limited as we cannot acommodate more than 15 participants at the various microscopes. Thus, if you register for the course day we are looking forward to welcome you in the morning and in the afternoon.
