BASW Oxfordshire presents the first branch meeting and seminar on Parental...

The BASW Oxfordshire branch will be launching on world social work week. The branch is a resource for local members to:
· Meet with other social workers in their area.
· Attend events and seminars.
· Enhance their Continuous Professional Development.
· Campaign for better working conditions.
The branch meeting will run from 5.30pm-6.30pm and is open to members and social workers (including student social workers) wishing to become members.
The seminar will commence from 6.30pm and will be open to all.
The event is FREE to attend and light refreshments will be available.
Speaker: Gavin Moorghen, BASW England.
Gavin will be leading a seminar examining the risks to children and unborn babies caused by parental drug misuse and how those risks can be managed by supporting parents and families. Gavin previously worked as a Substance misuse social worker for Oxfordshire Council’s drug and alcohol team and the Children and Families services
