Bat Walk and Talk

Join us for an amazing, free Bat Walk and Talk led by Phillip Playford from the Staffordshire Bat Group at Reedswood Park on Saturday the 17th of May at 8:45pm.

We will start our walk from the spectacular Speaking Sculpture in Reedswood Park and proceed to explore the park looking for bats using bat detectors. The walk is expected to last 1 to 1.5 hours, but you can join for as long or as little as you like. We recommend that you bring your own torch and wear sturdy footwear for walking around the park.

We will be meeting at the Bentley Lane entrance near to the bus stop, WS2 8SP. Street parking can be found nearby.

This Bat Walk and Talk is entirely free to attend and open to everyone, though donations are welcome.

This event forms part of the Speaking Sculptures Celebration Festival series of activities to celebrate nature and wildlife. The sculptures have been created by local people and installed in 8 greenspaces across Walsall as part of the Coalface to Wildspace Midlands project, made possible by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
