About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Paul Fisher has written the Walks to Works books covering Bath and Bristol and has extensive knowledge of Bath’s industrial heritage. This walk will take in landmark industrial buildings, and the sites of former industry and Bath’s proud history of engineering innovation.

The walk follows a beautiful circular route along the river to Locksbrook, talking about the significant manufacturing and engineering heritage here. We’ll take a look inside the Herman Miller factory (now Bath Spa University art school), before joining the Linear Park and taking in the Devonshire tunnel then returning via Lyncombe Vale.

The walk is a mainly flat five miles, but does include some rougher/narrow paths through Lyncombe Vale.

The start and finish point are close to the bus and train stations, and there are resting points and other facilities along the route.

This walk is part of Bathscape Walking Festival. For further information, call Lucy on 07816 641 745 or email info@bathscape.co.uk
