Lecture: Professor Naoko Maeda (Gakushuin University)

Participation: Online only (using Zoom)

Fee: Member: £5, Non-member: £10

Planned schedule: Following the seminar, there will be an optional social gathering from 13:00

前田直子先生 略歴

学習院大学文学部日本語日本文学科教授。大阪大学にて博士(文学)取得。1993 年から2002年まで東京大学留学生センターで日本語教育に携わり、現在は、日本語や日本語教育に関心を持つ日本人学生、留学生を指導。専門は現代日本語文法(特に複文の記述的研究)。

Biography of Professor Naoko Maeda

Professor of Gakushuin University from 2002. Ph. D (Osaka University). After teaching Japanese to foreign students in International Center, The University of Tokyo from 1993-2002, she has been teaching the university students including foreign students. Her specialty is Modern Japanese Grammar, especially the descriptive research of complex sentences.

The British Association for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (BATJ) was formed in March 1998, with the aim of encouraging and promoting Japanese language education in the U.K., particularly by stimulating teaching and encouraging research in the field of language studies as an academic discipline. The Association's first conference was held in London in September 1998, at the Japan Foundation Nihongo Centre which co-hosted the conference. The Association admits individuals supporting its aims.
