Event description

Description

Our National Park 'Land of Iron' project is working to nurture the natural environment that has reclaimed the industrial landscape of Rosedale, and is celebrating it through Rosedale Wildlife Week (23 - 29 June).

What comes out when all the people have gone to bed? Discover the nocturnal activity of Rosedale Abbey, looking for bats on a dusk ramble, guided by a local bat expert. There will also be moth trapping on the same evening.

Walk length is around 2 miles on slightly uneven terrain. Please bring a head torch and a drink.

Please wear appropriate warm clothing and footwear for a 2 mile walk and bring any drinks and refreshments. Sorry no dogs. Sorry this event is not wheelchair accessible.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Free, although a suggested donation of £2 is welcome, helping us to care for the National Park.

Booking essential. For more information call 01439 772738.
