The focus of the workshop will be on the evidence base accumulated by the University of Exeter and University of Stirling on the impact of single wind turbines on bats. This research has set out to establish the extent of risk posed by single onshore wind turbines to British bats and to supply evidence that could potentially assist in managing any such risk. The workshop will outline the main findings and results from Stirling and Exeter's research, identify evidence gaps that still require research, and look to establish a dialogue leading to the creation of guidance for bats and single wind turbines.
