Who is this event for?

This walk is designed for women currently on maternity leave who are beginning to think about their career and return to work. Whether you’re feeling excited, unsure, or just want to talk it through with others who understand, you’re very welcome.

Can I bring my baby?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Babies are absolutely welcome. Bring whatever works for you (buggy, sling, carrier). The walk is gentle and we’ll take things at a relaxed pace with space for feeds, changes, and pauses.

Do I need to be planning my return-to-work right now?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Some mums join us months before their return, others are just starting to think about what comes next. There’s no pressure, just honest and open conversation.

Who is Harriet and what is Branch?

Harriet Wright is the founder of Branch, an organisation that supports women returning to work after maternity leave. She’s an experienced facilitator, and a mum of two who knows firsthand how complex and emotional this transition can be.

Question 5

How long is the walk?

Accepted Answer

The walk usually lasts around an hour, depending on the group. We’ll keep the pace gentle and flexible. This is all about getting outside and connecting with others!

What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes, water, and anything your baby needs. Snacks and layers are always a good idea just in case the weather turns or your little one gets hungry.

What if it rains?

We’ll aim to go ahead whatever the weather, but please check the forecast and bring waterproofs! If the forecast looks truly grim, we’ll be in touch the day before with any updates.

Not in the traditional sense. No business cards needed! This is about connection, community, and honest conversation. Think of it as a walk with friends you haven’t met yet.
