Our 19th year is a bold and uplifting celebration of courageous storytelling from around the world.with award-winning features, hard-hitting documentaries, light hearted dramedies, Animation, Experimental Shorts and though-provoking conversations atthe Rio, Cinema in Hackney, Genesis in Mile End , Coldharbour Blue in Brixton and other venues across London. This year's festival continues to shine a light on the untold and overlooked stories that shape our world and reflect God's heart for humanity.
Battlefields and Bridges brings together deeply human stories of struggle and redemption. From a pastor struggling with suicidal thoughts to generations of black men sharing wisdom on a stoop, to a Caribbean publican fighting for his cultural legacy in 1990s London. to mothers bearing witness to the toil of gang violence and a young man's desperate plea for firgiveness after committing a terrible crime. These stories uncover the hidden wars we fight and the fragile bridges we build in search of healing and hope.
