Come and see some of the purest limestone in Britain, laid down during the warm tropical climate of the Carboniferous Period. Be amazed by its many uses and learn about past and present extraction and processing methods during this unique two hour guided minibus tour. Please wear sensible clothes including trousers, long sleeved tops, and boots. Safety wear will be provided.
