Get ready to discover the wonderful world of bats at our family friendly batty afternoon. Drop in to Dunston Community Centre between 12.30 -3.30pm to find out why bats hang upside down, where they go in winter and how you can encourage them to visit your garden. There will also be some bat crafts and you can build a bat box to take home (£8 per box) or help support bats around the River Tyne and the Saltmarsh Garden by building one to put up on the site. Please book your place and let us know how many bat boxes you require by calling the Durham Wildlife Trust Office on 0191 584 3112. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is delivered with thanks to Gateshead Council through the Saltmarsh Garden Project.
