A guided walk through Bankside for gay women
Come and discover the thrilling history of London's original entertainment district. Often compared to the Soho of the 1950's, Bankside is still alive with bohemian verve. This walk takes you through the atmospheric lanes and alleyways of a district once roamed by Shakespeare, Dickens, bear baiters, thieves, and a cross dressing brothel madam called Moll.
Along the way you'll see a shrine to medieval paupers and prostitutes (the outcast dead), a remnant of the infamous Marshallsea prison which features in Little Dorrit, a medieval wherryman's seat, and the original site of the Globe.
Places are limited to fourteen people so grab your ticket today and we'll see you there!
