Description


BBC Children in Need  give grants to organisations working with children and young people aged 18 years and under experiencing disadvantage through:

·        Illness, distress, abuse or neglect

·        Any kind of disability

·        Behavioural or psychological difficulties

·        Living in poverty or situations of deprivation

They fund organisations working to combat this disadvantage and make a real difference to children and young people’s lives. The grant programmes are open to charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Juliet Williams, Regional Officer for the South and West, will present the
funding programme, be on hand to welcome potential applicants, as well as
answer questions and talk through proposals on a 1-to-1 basis.

Who is this workshop for?

This course is available for vcse groups working with children and young people.

What will the workshop cover?


  • children in need grants programme

  • what children in need are looking for in an application

  • 1 - 1 sessions available to discuss your suitability for this fund



Date: Tuesday 11th October 2016, 9.45am registration for 10 am start through to 12 noon

Venue: Wareham Youth Centre, Worgret Rd, Wareham BH20 4PH

Cost: FREE - DUE TO EXPECTED HIGH DEMAND  WE ASK FOR ONE TICKET PER ORGANISATION

Refreshments: Teas and coffees are provided but lunch is not provided.
