Description

*** Do join the waiting list. We hope to be able to release some tickets as people tell us they cannot attend ***

Members and supporters of the Campaign to Save Mental Health Services in Norfolk and Suffolk are invited to our live BBC Panorama viewing on Monday 6th February 2017.

The BBC website says:

Revealed: Britain's Mental Health Crisis

One month after prime minister Theresa May promised to 'transform the way we deal with mental health problems right across society', reporter Sophie Hutchinson investigates the troubled state of NHS mental health services. She hears the concerns of staff and patients at the first mental health trust in England to be placed in special measures, and learns of the deteriorating national picture for mental health care funding, exclusively revealing new figures that show a shocking increase in unexpected deaths of mental health patients.

The venue is the newly-refurbished Trowell & Hammer Inn in central Norwich, near the St Stephen's roundabout. The pub has a car park and is close to the Norwich bus station. The Trowell & Hammer Inn is accessible. We have exclusive use of the rear of the premises.

There will be the usual welcoming and supportive mix of people who rely on and care about mental health services: service users, patients, carers, mental health professionals and family and friends. There is a buffet from 7.30 p.m. with Panorama scheduled by the BBC at 8.30 p.m.

If you register for a place but can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible so that another member can attend and we can advise the kitchen.

If you need a lift or help with transport costs, please get in touch and we'll enable you to attend using a combination of campaign funds and friends.

If you have recent suffered a bereavement or trauma or are anxious about attending and would like to talk to a campaigner before coming along, get in touch.

The Trowell & Hammer Inn has rooms available for those who have to travel long distances.

If you're from an organisation that would like to make a small contribution towards the cost of this event, please get in touch. We'd really welcome your support.

We look forward to seeing you on Monday 6th February.
