Frequently asked questions

How do I ask a question?

The BBC relies on questions from the audience on the night. Question cards will be provided to be placed in an Any Questions? box. There is no limit on the number of questions each person can put in. Questions can be prepared in advance and brought to the Hall on the day. Please just add your name.

What is a great question?

Great questions do at least one of the following: Are TOPICAL (what's in the news this week?), REFLECT THE AREA we are in (what matters to you?), spark a GREAT DISCUSSION.

Where can I park?

There will be adequate parking at the Village Hall and you will be directed by parking stewards.

Are there facilities for the disabled?

We regret that there are only 3 designated parking spaces for the disabled close to the Hall's entrance, but when filled our parking stewards will do what they can to find you alternative parking not too far from the Hall. There is a ramped access to the Hall and a designated WC for the disabled.

If the event is over-subscribed will there be a waiting list

Yes, we will maintain one and will contact you if there are spaces.

Organised by

BBC Radio 4's flagship political discussion programme is coming to Rogate on Friday, 6th June.

The programme was first broadcast in 1948 and visits a different part of the UK every week with a panel of four speakers who answer questions from the audience, providing people with the opportunity to challenge politicians, policy makers, writers, and thinkers.

The panel is different each week and is broadcast LIVE on Radio 4 straight after the 8.00pm news bulletin. It's your chance to put your question to the panel.

Doors open at 6.15pm and close at 6.45pm. The programme will be broadcast live from 8.00pm - 9.00pm. Entry is by ticket only. Please note there will be security checks on admittance to the Hall. Recording and photography during the broadcast is not permitted.

There will be question cards available for you to complete on arrival. Look forward to seeing you there!
