BBC Radio Nottingham Big Day Out - Family Steam Up!
Sun 30 April 2017, 11:00 – 17:00 BST
Located in the 17th century stable block of Wollaton Hall, the award-winning Nottingham Industrial Museum houses a unique collection of working steam and diesel engines, as well as examples of local textile and transport technologies. There are also exhibits reflecting local industries such as mining, railways, bicycles, motorcycles, lace, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, tobacco and printing.
This year the Big Day Out coincides with our traditional last Sunday of the month Family Steam Up so you will be able to see the engines, including the magnificent Basford Beam Engine in full steam. There will be volunteers on hand to give guided tours and to explain the history of the exhibits.
Admission is free for BBC Radio Nottingham’s Big Day Out but Wollaton Hall car park charges still apply.
Charges may apply for some activities.
Open from 11am to 5pm (last entry at 4.30pm).
