About the speaker and facilitator:

John is the Regional Manager for First 5 Minutes, based in Perth, Western Australia.

John’s career began with Victoria Police where he spent 15 years, many of them as a Detective Senior Constable. He then spent four years with the Australian Federal Police, working in covert counter terrorism and high profile close personal protection roles before transferring to the private sector where he has worked in various Security, Risk and compliance related management roles including overseas contracts in high risk environments.

John has also had significant exposure to training services with management roles in Australia and Internationally. Prior to his role at First 5 Minutes, John worked in WA Government where he has led the Department of Housing’s internal property audit and compliance function across the state as Quality Assurance Manager.
