BCNA Question Time Walsall
Throughout 2017 and 2018 we have been holding Question Time for Neurology: A Continuum of Care events around the Black Country. These have already been successful in Dudley, Wolverhampton and Sandwell. Our final Question Time Event takes place in Walsall on Monday April 16th at Walsall Village Hotel.
The Mayor & Mayoress of Walsall will open our event.
The event will begin with short presentations from the Panel; our confirmed Panellists so far include:
Mayor of Walsall Cllr Marco Longhi, Chair of Social Care and Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee at Walsall Council
David Sinclair: who will inspire us with stories of his adventures in wheelchair skiing
Professor Adrian Williams: Consultant Neurologist at University Hospitals Birmingham, and Chair of NHS England Commissioning for National Programmes of Care and Clinical Reference Group for Neuroscience (covering specialised neuroscience services and specialised adult neurosurgery).
Joe Korner: acting Chief Executive of National Neurological Alliance.
Dr Arun Singal, a Walsall GP from Northgate Practice, Anchor Meadow, Aldridge.
Tracey Grinnell: Clinical Nurse Manager, Walsall Palliative Care Centre
Additional Panellists will be updated as they are confirmed.
During their presentations Health & Community Care Professionals will tell us about their role in supporting people with long term complex needs, alongside presentations from the National Neurological Alliance and Professor Adrian Williams.
Following this we will have round table discussions to decide on the most pressing questions we would like to ask the Panel during the Question Time session.
Information stands from the major charities and local support organisations will be available during the afternoon.
Tickets are free. Please book an additional ticket if someone will be accompanying you to the event. These events fill up quickly, so please book early to ensure a place.
