Organiser

BCS Computer Conservation Society

Formed in 1989, we are a joint venture between BCS, the Science Museum of London, and the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.

An important part of our work is the conservation of historic computers, and we run several specialised computer preservation projects. Many of the early computers we’ve conserved can be found exhibited at various UK museums.

As a group, we encourage the study and preservation of material about historic computers, their use as well as the history of the computer industry. We also publish a regular Journal, titled 'Resurrection' which contains articles on computer history and related topics.
