The BDA Organisational Members Day is a great opportunity for member organisations to come together to learn more about the best ways to recruit, support and develop dyslexic employees.
OM Day – Afternoon workshop Sessions (from 2:30pm to 6pm)
The afternoon (running from 2:30pm to 5:30pm) will include a choice of workshops focussing on a positive approach to supporting dyslexic employees in the workplace.
Workshops will include Matt Boyd from Exceptional Individuals on his approach to identifying and recruiting dyslexic talent through his dyslexia specialist recruitment agency.
In the evening (from 6pm) key note speakers will present their views and thoughts on how they see the workplace changing for dyslexic people in 2017 and beyond and what businesses can do to provide greater support to realise the full potential of dyslexic employees. Speakers will include Hector Minto, Sr Technology Evangelist for Accessibility at Microsoft, discussing the Microsoft approach to providing a dyslexia friendly workplace and how technology can support this. We also have speakers lined up from BBC and Ernst and Young.
Attendees will then have the opportunity to network and connect with our organisational members and likeminded businesses and individuals.
Margaret Malpas the joint Chair of the BDA will also be speaking about her new book launched in February entitled, ‘Self-fulfilment with dyslexia – a blueprint for success’
