Be a Better Biker – Motorcycle Assessment Days - Thame.

The day allows you to take your skills to a level that will help to improve your safety and enjoyment.

About this Event

Whether you ride a sports, classic, or tourer, young or older – if you have a full licence and live or ride in Buckinghamshire you’re welcome at a Be a Better Biker day.

Delivered by Aylesbury Advanced Motorcyclists, supported by Buckinghamshire County Council and Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue, the workshops include:

• A brief introduction of the principles of advanced riding including:

• rider input

• overtaking

• cornering techniques

• On-road assessment with AAM observers of approximately 2 hours

• A review of the on road sessions discussing lessons learnt

The dates and venues for the 2019 workshops are:

15th June 2019 at Thame Fire Station, OX9 2DP

7th September 2019 at Marlow Fire Station,SL7 1RA

21st September 2019 at Thame Fire Station, OX9 2DP

Start time is 09:30 and it is expected to finish around 15.30 – 16.00

At the end of the session each candidate will receive a copy of the book “How to Be a Better Rider” published by IAM Roadsmart.

Cost is £20 per biker which includes a non-refundable booking fee.

There are 12 places available and places are booked on a first come first served basis.

Registration and coffee will be 9.30am.

Please ensure you have a full tank of fuel, or at least 100 miles worth of fuel.

Remember to bring your own lunch, though we will provide tea and coffee
