Event description

Description

The Faculty of Business and Management is delighted to announce the 2018 Faculty Research Conference which will be on Monday 10th September 2018. The conference theme is “Be Brave! Inspiring Individual Impact in the Workplace” to reflect the importance of operating at the forefront of knowledge creation, dissemination and communication about the workplace.

Each year our community of educators and researchers, including both engaged and emerging scholars, join together in a supportive peer environment to share ideas, data and discussion to further enhance our own personal and collective understanding of the frontiers of research. We are interested in both newly formed and more developed ideas including reflections on the academic literature, methodology or data.

This year we acknowledge the need for bravery both in terms of our research practice but also our understanding of the rapidly changing world of work. Although we understand a significant amount about how we work, the nature of work and the workplace in different contexts there is a lot more to learn. New advances in technology, demographic shifts and societal norms are forcing us all to consider what else we need to know to inform how we can work together in an economic environment that is highly competitive but faces significant challenges.
